Vodafone say it is nothing to do with them as they have sold the debt and insist i must now deal with wescot. They claim that the reason they keep writing is that they are different debts, one british gas, one provident credit one freemans. Etc. Internet searches do not clarify whether wescot are owned by equifax ! I've spoke to wescot, martin colquhoun, who was polite and helpful so i must have been lucky based on other posts. Wescot are fond of numbers that divide by seven! I rather suspect that the ntl debt is still on ntl's books somewhere and that it's been sold on to wescot.
